Masterpiece Enamel Teapots
|
| Frenchmen were the first to make enamel miniatures in the 17th-century. The English learned the skills in the 18th-century and applied them to copper boxes and created the hand-painted bibelots. Unfortunately, the English now use transfer-printing technology in order to mass produce the bibelots. Reviving the 17th-century English tradition, these teapots are 100% handmade enamel miniatures.
Each teapot is painted on all four sides with a removeable lid. They are approximately 4" x 3.5" (depending on shape). NOTE: Decorative Use Only.

View of Beach St Adresse Mini Teapot by Monet
Kelvin Chen Porcelain Collection
The term "impression" signified the sensory information registered on the retina prior to cogitation of any sort. Monet describes Impressionism: "When you go out to paint, try to forget what objects you have before you, a tree, a house, a field or whatever." Monet explained to an American neighbor in Giverny, "merely think here is a little square of blue, here an oblong of pink, here a streak of yellow, and paint it just as it looks to you, the exact color and shape, until it gives you your own naive impression of the scene before you."
Made from porcelain, hand painted enamel on all sides, hinged lid, decorative use only, estimated 4"H. 6137, $32
