This pendant shows a Priestess of the religion of the ancient people of Knossos, who flourished about three and a half millennia ago, Bare breasted, wearing long gowns and aprons, snakes spiral up her arms. She is the priestess; the medium between the Earth and the people. These may have been the first temple priestesses in the western world, and they were the spiritual leaders in a time when no one thought to own land , the most sacred act was giving birth, and money had not yet been invented.
