Drawing Hands Mouse Pad By Escher

" M.C. Escher's famous drawing illustrates One Hand Drawing Another in an endless cycle of creation. Round and round your eye moves as you look for the beginning in this endless drawing. Escher's Drawing Hands are here adapted to a mouse pad for use next to your computer. It seems appropriate to put two hands at endless work under you own hand which whizzes the mouse around in an endless spiral. Drawing Hands Mouse Pad Mat by Escher is made from washable, water- and coffee-resistant natural rubber and measures 7 3/4 x 9 1/4". Hard top with non-skid rubber backing.

M.C Escher Drawing Hands Maurits Cornelis Escher (Dutch, 1898-1972) created the lithograph entitled Drawing Hands in 1948. Like many of his other self-portraits, this one presents the subject as a cool and cerebral maker, a self-fashioner. Hands that draw; hands that create. With its stairways that climb without ascending, its Mobius patterns, Escher's art challenges our sense of beginning and ending, of the boundary between art and artist. Minutely detailed, rigorously composed, it insists on its own reality. As Escher was fond of saying "None of us needs to doubt the existence of an unreal, subjective space. But I for one an not sure of the existence of a real, objective space."" PN# 7882, ART MOUSEPADS COLLECTION
